Illinois · Tinley Park

Selling or possessing native Illinois reptiles & amphibians (bull snakes, rat snakes, kingsnakes, turtles, frogs, salamanders…) requires IDNR permits, resident or not. Endangered and threatened species need special permits, so allow about 60 days.

Missouri · St. Louis

Selling native Missouri herps requires the $50 Class I Wildlife Breeder Permit from MDC. No crocodilians are legal for sale or ownership in Missouri. Special-event vendors may need Missouri tax registration (Form 2643S).
